worthwhile, satisfying and happy life. Adaptation of material, activities and instruction provides opportunity for students of varying abilities, interest, needs, disciplines and environmental backgrounds to experience success. Though specific objectives change with pupil age, the central goal of preparing students to participate responsibly in our democratic way of life remains throughout the program of instruction. Many forces affect the learning process and the behavior of an individual.
