The 21st Century Preparatory School, a K-8 independent charter school, opened in the fall of 2002 through authorization from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents. Mission: The 21st Century’s mission is to prepare diverse children for access to the full array of life choices, including college and careers. Vision: The 21st Century prepares students for leadership in the 21st century, taking individual differences seriously, and crafting practices that serve each child equally well.

This small quaint school bustles daily with students eager to learn the skills necessary to survive in the twenty-first century. This small learning community operates around a core of traditional values. It stresses and encourages family involvement. The school, lead by a dedicated staff of teachers, provides a state of the art education.

With approximately 21,000 students, we are the fourth largest school district in the state of Wisconsin. The district has 21 elementary schools including 3 magnet elementary schools, 7 middle schools including 1 magnet middle school and 1 charter middle school, and 6 high schools including 1 magnet high school, and 1 charter high school. Racine Unified features rigorous academics and strong programming in the fine arts, foreign language, school-to-career, physical education, technology, and other electives.
