The Auburn-Washburn School District is made up of 128 square miles of sub-urban and rural areas in southwest Topeka and Shawnee County. Lawrence Gardner High School is a fully accredited high school serving the male and female students housed at the Kansas Juvenile Correctional Complex.

How does this benefit schools:
LGHS is a specialized school designed to meet the academic and behavioral needs of the juveniles housed at the correctional facility. If LGHS staff do their job correctly, the students who leave the program should be better prepared to return to public school.
