Massanutten Regional Governor's School opened in the fall of 2005 and is one of 19 Academic-Year Governor's Schools in the state of Virginia. The mission at Massanutten Regional Governor’s School is to provide an integrated and enriched research-based curriculum to highly motivated and intellectually gifted students based on environmental science and technology. At MRGS we believe that our students are our program and that the education we provide has the potential to benefit not only our students as individuals but society as a whole.
Shenandoah County Public Schools is comprised of eleven schools which serves approximately 6100 students. We have three campuses which contain an elementary, middle and secondary school. The Northern Campus has Strasburg High School, Signal Knob Middle School and Sandy Hook Elementary School. The Central Campus has Central High School, Peter Muhlenberg Middle School and W.W. Robinson Elementary School. The Southern Campus has Stonewall Jackson High School, North Fork Middle School and Ashby Lee Elementary School. Our technical arts school is Triplett Tech and housed within this building is the Massanutten Regional Governor's School, which serves the school districts of Page County, Rockingham County, Harrisonburg City and Shenandoah County.
