There are currently 710 students enrolled in the district. Through diverse educational opportunities Neah-Kah-Nie School District, in partnership with the community, prepares students to become productive and responsible citizens for an ever changing world!
The Nestucca Valley School District #101 (NVSD) is located in the southern portion of Tillamook County and includes the communities of Beaver, Hebo, Cloverdale, Pacific City/Woods, Sandlake and Neskowin. Except for Pacific City/Woods and the Sandlake area, these communities are all found on or near US Highway 101. NVSD The was born from a consolidation of the K-8 districts in the area and the union high school district and officially became the Nestucca Valley School District about 20 years ago. The student population reached a high of 724 students in 1996. In October of 2010, there were 545 students enrolled and those students were served by 75 employees including 33 licensed staff. Currently, NVSD operates two buildings: Nestucca Valley Elementary which is K-6 and Nestucca Junior Senior High School which is 7-12. Students attend school four days a week and the district provides a full day kindergarten program.
Tillamook School District serves almost 2000 students with approximately 250 full or part-time employees. Our six different buildings, South Prairie (2-3), Liberty (K-1), East (4-6), Tillamook Jr. High (7-8), Tillamook High School (9-12), and Tillamook Options Program (7-12), have highly talented and dedicated staffs who meet the needs of students on a daily basis. In Tillamook, we are extremely proud of the work our students have done in various areas such as, community service projects, charity drive fund raising, athletics, speech, FFA, green teams and much more. TSD9 is also very excited about the district-wide Natural Resources Program that has been highly supported by local companies. The Tillamook School District has high academic expectation with rigorous classroom work, but at the same time is able to provide numerous opportunities for students outside of the classroom thanks to fantastic community partnerships.
