Mission Statement: We, at Chester ISD, view each child as having a unique value and possessing the potential for positive contributions to both our society and the world. We believe that all children should have the opportunity to achieve to the best of their abilities. We strive to meet the individual needs of each child by fostering a nurturing environment created by teachers, parents, and community members.

All students shall be taught the essential academic skills and shall acquire a knowledge base on which to build lifelong learning. English language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, fine arts, health, physical education, and technological literacy shall be taught as the core curriculum. Citizenship and economic responsibilities and an appreciation of our American heritage shall be taught in the classroom. Students shall be provided the opportunity to develop the ability to think logically, independently, and creatively, and to communicate effectively. Educating our children to be productive in a changing world necessitates an excellent educational system. A system that can accomplish this mission must be characterized by quality, equity, and accountability as follows: 1. Instruction shall be provided at the highest levels of quality. 2. Educational opportunities and resources shall be distributed with equity for all students. 3. The educational system shall maintain accountability for demonstrated results and continuous improvement. The mission of Woodville ISD as the public education provider for our community is to ensure quality foundational education skills through excellent instruction in a positive learning environment that will maximize each student's potential. Woodville ISD provides the educational facilities and resources to meet the needs of approximately 1,400 students on four campuses. Woodville ISD is classified as a 2A UIL district. The Board, administration, staff and community are committed to upholding a tradition of excellence and constantly work to improve student achievement in the classroom and in extra-curricular endeavors.
