Soldier Hollow Charter School is an award winning, free, K-8, public charter school located on the grounds of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in the Heber Valley, Midway, Utah. There is so much about our school that is special and unique and allows us to stand head and shoulders above all other educational options in the valley. Currently, we are rated number 15 out of all schools in the state of Utah. We are the only school in the valley to have ever been awarded the coveted Blue Ribbon Award (2011) from the United States Department of Education. We are the only school situated on a state park, and, on an official Olympic facility, where children cross country ski twice per week during school in the winter. We are part of the Green Charter School Network, and have our roots in place-based learning, which encourages children to learn about, learn from and learn in their local surroundings. Our mission is to provide an innovative educational model that nurtures inquiry, creativity and inspires the desire to learn. The natural world will be used as a classroom for place-based learning across the curriculum.
