The Vision of the Northwood School District is: To prepare life long learners to be productive citizens in an ever changing global society. Northwood School District, home of the Evergreens, is located in the "great north woods" right off Highway 53 covering over 400 square miles. Northwood includes the communities of Minong, Gordon, Wascott and Frog Creek -- communities all rich in tradition. Northwood is a positive learning community committed to continual improvement. Our school offers great curricular and extracurricular opportunities for students. Classes, aligned with state standards, are varied and challenging. College courses are offered to seniors on site for English and History. Students are encouraged to join extracurricular activities - sports, drama, forensics and service clubs. Attention is given to each and every student; their success is important to all of us.
-
Our mission is to maximize each student's potential to compete in a global society by providing appropriate educational opportunities in a challenging, nurturing and secure atmosphere, through partnerships with family and community.
