OUR VISION: We envision a dynamic PK-8 school that challenges all students and staff to be caring and contributing members of our society, learning to work together in cooperative and productive teams. We strive for high standards of performance, both academically and behaviorally, for all members of our school community. We see an active, busy, hands-on, creative environment where both staff and students are engaged in meaningful learning experiences. The learning experiences should follow a logical progression that is developmentally appropriate and where students can see the connections among the traditional fields of discipline. The Barre Supervisory Union School District #61 is made up of two public Pre-K through eighth grade schools (Barre City Elementary/Middle School and Barre Town Elementary/Middle School); one parochial Pre-K through eighth grade school (Central Vermont Catholic Schools - St. Monica’s Campus); and one public high school/technical center (Spaulding High School and the Barre Technical Center) serving approximately 2500 students. Mission Statement: Barre Supervisory Union, a student-centered, equitable, learning community, will strive to maximize available resources through unified, collaborative leadership, and focus on continuous improvement in the area of student achievement, while promoting a safe and respectful learning environment for all.

To this end we commit ourselves to a planned, continuous, and cooperative school improvement effort. This effort will include a training and development process based on the best practices resulting from current research and encompass the areas of: school leadership, climate, student and program expectations, curriculum and instructional practices, parent and community involvement, student and program evaluation.
Berlin Elementary School is currently home to 218 students in preschool through sixth grade. With an average class size of between 16 and 18 students in each of 9 multi-age classrooms (plus two kindergarten classes and three preschool sessions), Berlin Elementary School is a great place for both academic and social learning in an individualized environment. Mission Statement: At Berlin Elementary School, a partnership of teachers, staff, family and community will work together to create an environment that develops the skills and attitudes of life-long learners. We will encourage children to value their minds, bodies and spirits and to be caring, respectful and responsible community members. We will offer all our children challenging and engaging opportunities that will foster their understanding of themselves and the world.
Cabot is a small PreK-Grade 12 school with about 110 children in grades PK-6 and 100 in grades 7-12. Cabot is one of only two school districts in the Washington Northeast Supervisory Union. The other isTwinfield Union School which is also PK-12 with an enrollment of about 400 students. Beginning in grade 9, students may take advantage of Vermont’s Act150 which allows them to apply to other high schools in the Winooski Valley District. A few students apply to come to Cabot and few apply to attend other schools. We also invite students from schools that do not have grades 7-12 to attend Cabot School at the expense of their district.

Harwood Union High School is a mid-sized secondary school located in South Duxbury, Vermont. As a member of the Washington West Supervisory Union, the school serves the towns of Duxbury, Fayston, Moretown, Waitsfield, Warren, and Waterbury. The institution is also referred to as "Harwood USHD #19." HARWOOD UNION MISSION STATEMENT: Harwood Union Middle/High School will provide an educational and creative environment in which every person is valued as an individual, challenged as a learner, and inspired to contribute to a democratic society.
Moretown Elementary School is a wonderful place for children to learn and grow! We challenge our students academically in an environment filled with joy, compassion and humor. Moretown Elementary School (MES) is a proud member of the Washington West Supervisory Union and is consistently rated as one of the top elementary schools in the state of Vermont. Moretown Elementary provides a Pre-K to grade 6 education for all students who reside in our town. The the student population of MES is 130, and has approximately 30 full and part time staff members.
We are located in beautiful central Vermont among the hills of Orange County. The Orange North Supervisory Union (ONSU) is a K-12 supervisory union which joins the school districts of Washington, Orange, and Williamstown. There are 800 students enrolled between Williamstown Middle High School, Williamstown Elementary School, Washington Village School, and Orange Center School.

Twinfield Union School is a Pre K to 12 school which serves the unique rural communities of Marshfield and Plainfield. Students from all grade levels regularly use the school's 80 acres and the school's outdoor classroom to enhance student learning. The mission of the Twinfield Union School community is to educate all students to become responsible, productive, critical-thinking, lifelong-learning citizens in a safe, nurturing environment of mutual respect, high standards, creativity and academic excellence.
U-32 is a public middle and high school with an enrollment of about 800 students in grades 7-12. U-32 sits on a 166-acre hilltop campus, and serves the five towns of: Berlin, Calais, East Montpelier, Middlesex, and Worcester. U-32 has a reputation for academic excellence, high scores on standardized tests, an impressive college list, and many honors across academic pursuits.U-32 is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc., and the State of VT, Department of Education.
The University of Vermont combines faculty-student relationships most commonly found in a small liberal arts college with the resources of a major research institution. The university is home to 10,192 undergraduates, 1,427 graduate students, 446 medical students and 1,484 full- and part-time faculty. Located in Burlington, Vermont (perennially voted one of America's most exciting small cities), UVM's setting in a valley on the shores of Lake Champlain, between the Adirondack and the Green mountain ranges, inspires visitors and residents.
Waitsfield Elementary School currently serves over 150 students from preschool through 6th grade. While we are a small school, students attending Waitsfield Elementary School have a rich learning experience. Our School Mission: Support students in achievement of high academic standards; we believe that all students can master challenging academic material and we expect them to do so. Foster a safe, comfortable and challenging learning environment; help teach children respect for themselves and others, and teach them to accept responsibility for their actions. Enhance global awareness and acceptance of diversity.
The Warren School is a public elementary school in Warren, Vermont. Constructed in 1972 and enlarged in 1980 (and again in 2012), the school was designed to be home-like. The 2012-2013 fall enrollment was 191 students, with an average K-6 class size of 17. There are pre-school classes for 3 and 4-year-olds, and the Kindergarten program is full-day. The curriculum provides each student with instruction in art, music, physical education, and technology and library skills. French is taught in grades K-6. Support staff in cludes a Nurse, School Counselor, Technology Coordinator and Librarian, all of whom are part-time, a full-time Speech/Language Therapist, and 2.8 Learning Support teachers (Special Education, Remedial and Title 1). Daily after-school childcare is available at a moderate fee, and from time-to-time, after-school enrichment and recreation programs are offered. In winter, children in grades K-6 go skiing or snowboarding on Friday afternoons; primary students have swimming lessons in May. The school operates its own buses, and breakfast and lunch programs.

The Washington South Supervisory Union (WSSU) serves both the Roxbury and Northfield School Districts. The Roxbury Village School serves students in grades PreK-6; Roxbury students in grades 7-12 attend surrounding local schools of their choice. The Northfield Elementary School serves students in grades PreK-5 and the Northfield Middle and High School serves students in grades 6-12. Our schools share common goals that enhance the academic, character, and citizenship qualities of our students. They strive to provide a positive culture of support and community for all of our students and staff. We are proud of their many accomplishments and are appreciative of the communities’ support of our schools.
