GATEWAY ACADEMY CHARTER DISTRICT
We offer educational programs in a community-based, non-traditional setting where teachers are free to be creative and motivate students to explore their full potential. Graduates develop self esteem, respect for others and become successful and responsible citizens. They realize the importance of hard work and the value of continual learning from then on. At Gateway Academy students learn skills for life. Gateway Academy admits students up to the age of 20 (as of September 1st), from the local school districts - LISD,UISD and Webb Consolidated. We welcome students who want to learn in a non-traditional classroom setting and those who are no longer in the school system but want to earn their high school diploma. The Academy is an exciting opportunity for students in grades 9-12 to graduate with the necessary skills and competencies to suceed in life. Teaching methods are applied for each student's unique learning style.

HARMONY SCIENCE ACADEMY - LAREDO
Harmony Science Academies are college preparatory charter schools. A strong emphasis is placed on mathematics, science, and computer applications on our campuses. Our mission is to prepare students for higher learning in a safe, caring and collaborative atmosphere through a quality learner-centered educational program with a strong emphasis on math, science, engineering and technology.

LAREDO ISD
The Laredo Independent School District was established in 1882. LISD is a district sprawling more than 13 square miles. The Laredo Independent School District is made up of 33 educational institutions: 20 elementary schools, four middle schools, four high schools including the new Early College High School located on the campus of Texas A&M International University, the Lara Academy our alternative education campus, an Non-Traditional high school, and three magnet schools. The three magnet schools are the Vidal M. Treviño School of Communications and Fine Arts, located in historical downtown Laredo, the Dr. Dennis D. Cantu Health Science School, located at Martin High School, and the Sabas Perez School for Engineering and Technology Education, located at Cigarroa High School. The district has a yearly average of 25,000 enrolled students and over 4,500 employees striving for academic excellence. At the Laredo ISD, learning is the key to a bright and successful future. By setting high standards, the district plays a crucial role in preparing the students to meet the challenges and demands of today's high-tech and multicultural work place. The United Independent School District is located in Laredo, Texas in Webb County. Bordering Mexico in Southwest Texas, UISD is situated on the Rio Grande River. Laredo’s economy is based on retail industry, agriculture, import/export, mineral production, and tourism.
