DOUGLASS PUBLIC SCHOOLS - Kansas School District

About School District: The community of Douglass has much to offer. The appeal of a small town and the convenience of the Wichita metropolitan area provide the best of both worlds. The City of Douglass provides many excellent educational, cultural and recreational opportunities. Available facilities include a library, museum, swimming pool, tennis courts, running track, softball and baseball complexes, a large park, five churches and other civic and community-oriented clubs and organizations. The majority of the work force in Douglass commutes to Wichita and is employed by Boeing, Spirit, Beechcraft, Cessna, aircraft support companies and other manufacturing companies located in the area. Douglass USD #396 is located in rural south-central Kansas. The City of Douglass is home to 1,700 residents according to the 2010 census data.
