District #8 has one school offering kindergarten through sixth grade in two multi-grade classrooms.WGE is nestled at the entrance to Glacier National Park on Old River Bridge Road, which runs parallel to the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. Literally from WGE's front door to Glacier National Park is less than a half mile.The location, fantastic staff and great facility coupled with its immense resources make WGE an amazing little school. WGE's enrollment usually hovers between 22 to 29 students with 2.5 certified teachers on staff giving West Glacier one of the lowest pupil to teacher ratios in Flathead County. In addition, WGE has a variety of subcontracted specialists in the fields of counseling, special education, and speech pathology that supplements the educational services rendered by full- time staff.
