About School District: On January 16, 2010, the Wakefield School Board along with the school administration met to discuss goals and give direction in the area of strategic planning for the district. The purpose of the retreat was to refine areas in which the board of education could play a part in advancing the students and district as a whole.The four goals the school board discussed are as follows:1.Wakefield Community School will provide educational opportunities that meet the individual needs of students and staff.2.Wakefield Community School will monitor and address items which are seen as a physical plant need on a one to five year basis.3.Wakefield Community School will support and encourage communication with staff, parents, patrons, and students.4.Wakefield Community School will make an efficient use of resources.
