FLORIDA UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT
About School District: The Florida Union Free School District currently serves approximately 900 students in two buildings. Golden Hill Elementary houses students K-5; S. S. Seward Institute enrolls students grades 6 - 12. The size of the district and community creates a family atmosphere where students feel safe and comfortable. The district has made excellent progress in the area of technology upgrades that benefit the staff and students with enhanced opportunities for teaching and learning. Students have many opportunities to excel in extra-curricular activities and athletics. Throughout the last decade, the athletic teams have consistently competed at the State championship level, bringing home State championships in several events. The Florida Union Free School District is focused on the future as it continues to develop long-range plans to meet the needs of a growing and diverse population of students.
