About School District: The Easter Seal Society of Allegheny County was incorporated in 1935 and began as a volunteer effort of the local Kiwanis Club to provide transportation for children with disabilities to and from the hospital. After 75 years of services, Easter Seals Western PA has grown to an organization that provides comprehensive therapeutic, educational and vocational rehabilitation services to children and adults with disabilities and other special needs. Today, Easter Seals Western PA serves nearly 20,000 individuals from throughout 20 counties in Pennsylvania.
