HOUSTON HEIGHTS HIGH SCHOOL
About School District: Houston Heights High School was founded on a very simple philosophy. A school serves the students and their family. It is our firm belief that smaller schools better serve the students and consequently their parents and community. As a small school we offer a healthy, positive, school environment, where students are nurtured and valued. Students and parents receive individual attention and are contributors in the decision making process. Parents are encouraged to meet with the Principal. Students are strongly encouraged to perform volunteer work in the community. A sense of community develops where people actually have a real voice. A sense of ownership develops in the students and their parents. Classes are smaller. Teachers have more time to work with students and actually know their students. Accountability is the direct outcome. Everyone is held accountable for student success.
