LYFORD CISD
About School District: Lyford CISD, located in the Rio Grande Valley, contains approximately 300 square miles; its greater part is in Willacy County, but it also covers small portions of Hidalgo and Cameron Counties. The district encompasses the city of Lyford and its surroundings: the towns of Sebastian and Santa Monica; the farming communities of Alazan, Stockholm, Stillman, Los Coyotes, El Maneado, Willamar, and Porfirio. Lyford CISD (PK-12) is fully accredited by the Texas Education Agency. School enrollment is 1535. The district offers a comprehensive curriculum along with co-curricular activities allowing opportunities for students to develop intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. In addition, high standards of discipline are maintained.
