About School District: The Midlothian Independent School District is located in the northern sector of Ellis County. The school district has approximately 113 square miles within its boundaries. It is bounded on the north by the populous Dallas and Tarrant Counties and is approximately thirty miles from the center of Metropolitan Dallas and Fort Worth at the crossroads of Highway 287 and 67.
