About School District: Mission Statement: The staff of Rochelle Independent School District is dedicated to teaching all students, regardless of their previous academic performance, family background, socioeconomic status, race, color, or gender. We believe that our purpose is to educate students so that they meet or exceed the academic standards required for graduation as well as learn the emotional behaviors and attitudes necessary to function in society. Improved performance, including the indicators of preferred levels of academic performance such as TAKS/STAAR scores, that will give the desired result, coupled with the implementation of successful teaching strategies. With these strategies in place we can, and do expect all student grades will reflect the higher levels of academic excellence. The information from the curriculum being taught will ensure a knowledge base on which to build a life-long learning and behavior pattern, which will make each student a self-supporting, contributing member of society.
