VIDOR ISD - Texas School District

About School District: The Vidor Independent School District had its beginnings in 1929 when four common school districts (Magnolia Grove, Doty, Terry and Pine Forest) consolidated to form the Vidor Rural School District. The District became independent in 1949. Today the Vidor Independent School District encompasses 102.7 square miles in Orange County and 16 square miles in Jasper County. The District is bound in the west by the Neches River, on the east by Cow Bayou, on the south by the Pecan Acres Area, and on the north by the Jasper County line. The Vidor ISD faculty, administration and support staff continually strive towards the tradition of excellence that has been established in this community. Ensuring a safe and nurturing environment is a top priority in meeting the learning needs of each of our students. The students of Vidor ISD have many resources available to them to enhance their educational studies. With 21st century technology tools and a rigorous curriculum, students are challenged to meet the high expectations of testing standards and academic achievement. Vidor ISD students carry on the Pirate tradition of excellence.
