About School District: Our philosophy at Whitesboro ISD is to provide a high quality educational experience for all children who attend our schools. The faculty and staff are totally dedicated to helping all children reach their full potentials. The Whitesboro ISD is rated “Recognized” by the Texas Education Agency. The primary school and intermediate school are "Recognized”, and middle and high school campuses are rated “Recognized”, while the high school campus is rated “Academically Acceptable”. There is a strong commitment to staff development at Whitesboro ISD. District employees have received training in a concept referred to as Emotional Intelligence based on a book written by Daniel Goleman, Ph.D. We believe that an emotionally intelligent organization will better serve the children of our community. Other training opportunities are provided in conjunction with county districts through the Grayson County Co-Op, Region 10 and various presenters. All students at Whitesboro ISD are involved in a STARS Program that is designed to align district employees and community members with small groups of students. These adults serve as mentors. We believe the STARS Program will pay great dividends in the years to come. In addition, all Whitesboro ISD students will be keeping a portfolio that will contain projects, resumes, samples of work, certificates, letters of reference, etc. The portfolio will stay with the students as they move from grade to grade. Technology is a major focus in our quest for academic excellence. We currently have state of the art computer labs at each campus. Currently, we also have four wireless laptop computer labs that can convert any classroom into a connected computer lab. Our goal at Whitesboro is to become a premier school district in Texas. Our students achieve at higher levels every year. The faculty and staff are truly committed to the idea of fully preparing our students for the highly technological world of the twenty-first century.
