About School District: Wylie ISD has 19 campuses including two 4A high schools, one alternative high school, three junior high schools (grades 7 and 8), three intermediate schools (grades 5 and 6) and ten elementary campuses (grades Pre-K through 4). Wylie ISD offers an outstanding academic program with a focus on character education beginning in elementary school. The curriculum includes a wide range of programs from culinary arts to television production. The district emphasizes technology in the classroom and as a communications tool for parents. The district opened its 10th elementary campus, Watkins Elementary, in August 2010.
