Serving a community population of approximately 16,000, Borger ISD provides a variety of educational opportunities in an outstanding instructional program for pre-kindergarten through the twelfth grade. The teachers and administrators of Borger Independent School District are highly trained and qualified professionals who strive to meet the individual needs of each student. All teachers and administrators in the District participate in staff development activities which focus on various teaching trends and innovative instructional techniques.
The Plemons-Stinnett-Phillips Consolidated Independent School District was created in 1987, with the consolidation of three great school districts: Plemons, Stinnett and Phillips. Currently the district is a 1A UIL school with an enrollment of 603. Student academic achievement is the number one priority of the district. The district and all campuses have been highly successful in regards to state and federal accountability measures. We believe that all children can learn. While recognizing that individual differences exist, we expect each child to master, to the extent possible, the essential elements and extended curriculum objectives, thereby providing success, which will help, establish and maintain a feeling of self-worth. We believe that the purpose of the educational program is to serve the requirements of the students and the society in which he or she resides. Therefore, the activities, school policies and curriculum must be broad enough to meet the needs, interests and aptitudes of each student. We believe that the public school, in cooperation with the home and the community, has the responsibility to instill democratic values and to provide the guidance and the opportunity to develop good character and citizenship. We further believe that students need to learn to respect the rights of others, to be courteous, to maintain a high moral code, and to respect authority. We believe that educators, students and parents should have mutual respect and understanding of each other’s responsibilities in the educational process
