It’s clear when you walk in the door: the Charles A. Tindley Accelerated School isn’t like other schools.
Some of the differences are obvious, like the school uniforms. Others are subtler, like the way each classroom is named for a prestigious college. It all serves a single purpose: to help each of our students gain admittance into a highly selective college or university.
The Charles A. Tindley Accelerated School approach to education is best summed up by three bold words: College or Die. Other schools might not feel comfortable using such strong language. But again, Tindley isn’t like other schools.
The Academy will be recognized as a provider of outstanding education to an underserved population and will maintain high standards of academic rigor, efficiency and accountability. It will provide students with the academic proficiency necessary for higher educationand prepare them to be self-sufficient, contributing members of society.

Our curriculum and our teaching methods are designed to let your child excel as fast as their ability allows. This kind of competency-based approach lets kids of higher ability progress past students their same age. It also permits students to regroup, master material not mastered at a more restrictive school, then, with new-found confidence, race toward their academic potential.
Traditional public schools, parochial schools and other tuition-based private schools serve many children very well, but Fountain Square Academy is here to provide a choice.

At least 75% of students enrolled in the IVPS must have previously been in an Indiana public school during the 2009-2010 school year.
