Brandon Valley School District is one of the most progressive districts in South Dakota located on the eastern edge of South Dakota, bordering Minnesota and Iowa. Brandon Valley is the 5th largest school district in South Dakota and consists of six schools. Our Mission: "We will prepare our students to be life long learners and productive citizens in a global society through the creation of learning environments that result in success."

The Garretson School District is located in the southeast part of South Dakota approximately 20 minutes northeast of Sioux Falls just north of I-90 and covers over eighty-eight square miles along the Minnesota border. Garretson has a population of 1165. The Garretson School District serves approximately 245 elementary students, 106 middle school students, 167 high school students and 2 alternative school pupils. With a professional staff comprised of a Superintendent, 6-12 Principal, K-5 Principal and 33 teachers, the school has a 1:15 teacher–to-student ratio. South Dakota School for the Deaf - Mission: South Dakota School for the Deaf was established in 1880 to serve children with hearing loss. Since that time, SDSD has worked to provide quality educational programs and support services for deaf and hard of hearing children and their families. The school’s mission includes providing educational programs such as the Auditory Oral program in Brandon Valley Public Schools and the Bilingual program in the Harrisburg Public Schools, consultation to families and educational teams statewide, and comprehensive student evaluations including audiology and hearing screening. SDSD serves as a resource for families and local schools by providing a specialist in the education of deaf and hard of hearing children as a member of the educational team.
