Lyford CISD, located in the Rio Grande Valley, contains approximately 300 square miles; its greater part is in Willacy County, but it also covers small portions of Hidalgo and Cameron Counties. The district encompasses the city of Lyford and its surroundings: the towns of Sebastian and Santa Monica; the farming communities of Alazan, Stockholm, Stillman, Los Coyotes, El Maneado, Willamar, and Porfirio. Lyford CISD (PK-12) is fully accredited by the Texas Education Agency. School enrollment is 1535. The district offers a comprehensive curriculum along with co-curricular activities allowing opportunities for students to develop intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. In addition, high standards of discipline are maintained. At Raymondville I.S.D., our mission is to deliver a superior academic and technological education so that 100% of our students graduate and become productive citizens with a strong sense of social and civic responsibility in a multicultural society while integrating the agricultural, historical, recreational, and cultural aspects of South Texas and northern Mexico that are unique to the Gateway of the Rio Grande Valley.
The San Perlita Independent School District is located in Willacy County in an outlying area East of Raymondville and serves a 314-square mile area. This area consists of parts of the H P El Sauz Ranch, Frank D. Yturria Ranch, Rockefeller Ranch, East Ranch and Port Mansfield, all lying within unincorporated areas. SAN PERLITA I.S.D.
