GUNTER ISD
Gunter ISD is a 2A, K-12 district located approximately 22 miles north of Frisco, TX and 20 miles southwest of Sherman, TX. Gunter ISD encompasses over 66 square miles on the southern border of Grayson County. The faculty and staff at Gunter ISD are here because they love kids! We are here to provide all students a quality education so they will have the right tools to be successful in the future. The mission of the Gunter Independent School District is to provide all students a quality education, whereby affording them the opportunity to be successful in a rapidly changing society.

HOWE ISD
The Howe Independent School District is an AA school district serving approximately 1,000 students in grades pre-kindergarten through twelve. Howe is located about sixty miles north of Dallas and twelve miles south of Sherman on Highway 75, in Grayson County. The school district totals 76 square miles. The district has one elementary school, one middle school and one high school. The schools of the Howe ISD provide quality curricula, co-curricula, and special services to meet the needs of the student population. The faculty, administration, and support staff are committed to high educational standards and the development of individual potential. The teachers and staff work daily to prepare students to realize that their options are limitless. Because of the community, the Board of Trustees, the educational staff, and the students working together, students are able to reach new horizons. Mission: To provide each student with the opportunity to obtain a successful and challenging learning experience in a way that: encourages a desire for life-long learning; promotes problem-solving and decision making; builds a good self-image; develops behavior patterns which lead toward responsible citizenship; supports relationships between home, school and the community so that all students have the opportunity to reach their maximum potential in order to prepare them to be successful, contributing members of society.

S AND S CISD
S & S CISD is fully accredited and Recognized by the Texas Education Agency and enjoys a wonderful partnership with its several Grayson County communities. Increasingly growing and changing in its rural, urban and socioeconomic make-up, the district offers a rich variety of programs to meet the needs of all its students. S & S is a consolidated school district that represents a diverse population in several communities in the heart of Grayson County Texas. Located north of the Dallas/Forth Worth metroplex, just west of the Hwy 75 corridor, S & S CISD has the advantage of being a rural district, adjacent to both the Lake Texoma Recreation Area and the Hagerman Wildlife Refuge. The district is also only minutes away from the McKinney, Frisco, Gainesville, and Sherman/Denison trade and shopping areas. It is a progressive system that seeks to shape the future, one child at a time, through a community partnership dedicated to excellence and innovation in both teaching and learning. Strategic Purpose: The primary purpose of the S & S CISD is for students to learn the knowledge and skills necessary to be productive and successful citizens. TOM BEAN ISD
The Tom Bean Independent School District is located approximately 10 miles southeast of Sherman, Texas, and approximately 50 miles north of Dallas on State Highway 11, just 8 miles east of US Highway 75. The District encompasses 53 square miles in Grayson County. Approximately 1900 people live in the school District. The District enjoys a teacher/pupil ratio of 1:11 and a computer/student ratio of 1:3. The approximate enrollment is 763 students. Elementary School (PK-5) 342; Middle School (6-8) 174; High School (9-12): 247. Student Ethnic Ratio: White, 92.8; Hispanic, 3.3%; American Indian, 1.5%; Asian, .1%; African American, 2.3%. TBISD has a highly qualified instructional staff of 66 members who have an average of 10 years teaching experience. Other employees include: 6 administrators; 1 RN nurse and 1 LVN nurse; 3 counselors, 13 instructional aides; 9 cafeteria; 8 custodial, 3 maintenance, 2 transportation, and 10 para-professionals. Total Employees – 122. The Mission of Tom Bean Independent School District through its commitment to “Achieving Excellence” is to promote individual student success within a cooperative, supportive, and safe environment.

VAN ALSTYNE ISD
Van Alstyne Independent School District (ISD) is committed to excellence. Academic achievement is the top priority for VAISD's approximately 1,300 students. It is truly a place where the interests of the children come first. We are large enough to offer a wide range of opportunities while being small enough to provide individual attention and service. The size of a large Class 2A district, hometown feel and proximity to local attractions, including museums, cultural centers, sporting venues, and restaurants continue to make this community an attractive place to raise families. The children of this thriving community attend Van Alstyne Elementary School, Van Alstyne Middle School and Van Alstyne High School. A total district staff of 220 provide a quality education for all students. VAISD is committed to provide an excellent education to every student. WHITESBORO ISD
Our philosophy at Whitesboro ISD is to provide a high quality educational experience for all children who attend our schools. The faculty and staff are totally dedicated to helping all children reach their full potentials. The Whitesboro ISD is rated “Recognized” by the Texas Education Agency. The primary school and intermediate school are "Recognized”, and middle and high school campuses are rated “Recognized”, while the high school campus is rated “Academically Acceptable”. There is a strong commitment to staff development at Whitesboro ISD. District employees have received training in a concept referred to as Emotional Intelligence based on a book written by Daniel Goleman, Ph.D. We believe that an emotionally intelligent organization will better serve the children of our community. Other training opportunities are provided in conjunction with county districts through the Grayson County Co-Op, Region 10 and various presenters. All students at Whitesboro ISD are involved in a STARS Program that is designed to align district employees and community members with small groups of students. These adults serve as mentors. We believe the STARS Program will pay great dividends in the years to come. In addition, all Whitesboro ISD students will be keeping a portfolio that will contain projects, resumes, samples of work, certificates, letters of reference, etc. The portfolio will stay with the students as they move from grade to grade. Technology is a major focus in our quest for academic excellence. We currently have state of the art computer labs at each campus. Currently, we also have four wireless laptop computer labs that can convert any classroom into a connected computer lab. Our goal at Whitesboro is to become a premier school district in Texas. Our students achieve at higher levels every year. The faculty and staff are truly committed to the idea of fully preparing our students for the highly technological world of the twenty-first century.

WHITEWRIGHT ISD
Whitewright ISD covers 69 square miles located predominately in Grayson County with small portions in Collin and Fannin counties. We are located 18 miles east of Sherman. We are in District 7AA for Football and 11AA for all other UIL activities. The elementary school serves pre-kindergarten through grade 5, middle school grades 6 through 8, and high school grades 9 through 12. Mission Statement - To provide an environment that will encourage each student to reach his/her potential.
