DAVIDSON COUNTY

KNOX COUNTY

HAMILTON COUNTY

The Hamilton County Department of Education is a diverse school system, providing roughly 42,000 students with a world class education. The system is nationally renowned for urban school success as well as middle school and high school reform. The district offers a variety of educational programs for all students including magnet schools, career academies and gender-based classes as well as a focus on individual student success and the goal of preparing all students to compete in the Global Economy. RUTHERFORD COUNTY

WILLIAMSON COUNTY

Williamson County Schools is a K-12 school district with approximately 33,000 students enrolled for the 2012-2013 school year. There are 2385 certificated and 1716 support personnel in the Williamson County School District. Of the professional employees, 60 percent have attained an educational level of a Master's Degree or higher; The average teacher base salary is $47,500.00. There are before and/or after school child care programs in all elementary schools. Brentwood Middle, Grassland Middle and Page High Schools have obtained National Blue Ribbon School status.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY

We are located in Clarksville, Tennessee between Fort Campbell, Kentucky and Nashville, serving a population of over 147,000 people. CMCSS is the seventh largest district in Tennessee. Clarksville-Montgomery County School System serves over 30,000 students and employs about 3,900 teachers, administrators and support staff. There are 37 schools in the district: one K-5 Magnet School, 21 elementary, 7 middle, 7 high, and one Middle College. SUMNER COUNTY

Sumner County Schools have been in operation since 1873. Our district currently has 46 schools in operation including seven regular high schools, one night high school, 11 middle schools, 24 elementary schools, 1 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) elementary school, one academic magnet school and one alternative/zero tolerance school. Our Shared Vision: Preparing Graduates, Engaging Minds, Developing Character. Our Mission: We will prepare our students for life beyond the classroom by helping them become responsible, productive, and respectful citizens.
WILSON COUNTY

The Wilson County School System serves approximately 15,750 students in pre-kindergarten through adult education. Twelve elementary schools, two middle schools, four high schools, one adult high school, one alternative school and an adult basic education program make up the twenty-one sites. The Wilson County School System is committed to excellence in all areas of education. The system strives to obtain the best teachers and administrators possible. Of the 1,187 people employed in positions that require state certification, over 50 percent have attained an educational degree at the Masters level or higher. All Wilson County Schools and the Board of Education are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. The school system has lowered pupil-teacher ratios, employed reading and math coaches, increased the number of teaching assistants, and increased the number of counselors, added school nurses and a School Health Coordinator as a way of providing better service to the students of Wilson County. Wilson County has worked to improve its delivery system of educational technology. Library/Media Centers, offices, and classrooms are wired for Internet access. Teachers and students use the technology in many new and exciting ways, including on-line and distance learning.
SEVIER COUNTY

Vision: The Sevier County School System is a place where all stakeholders work collaboratively to provide an education where students value literacy, leave prepared to be productive individuals, and begin a journey for continued academic and social growth. Academic excellence is acquired through data-driven analysis, teacher expertise, and individualized instruction that promotes active engagement provided in an inclusive culture. Mission Statement: The Sevier County School System will provide a safe, inclusive learning environment and diverse educational opportunities for all students as reflected through data-driven analysis to develop skills needed to graduate from high school and enter post-secondary education and/or the work force.
MADISON COUNTY

Mission Statement: To prepare tomorrow's leaders by providing a safe, caring learning environment, working in cooperation with families and the community and providing appropriate curriculum and effective instruction. MAURY COUNTY

BRADLEY COUNTY

Bradley County Schools serves over 10,490 students. Our school system has received the Tennessee Center for Performing Excellence Commitment Award and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools District Accreditation. These achievements are not easy to accomplish and speak to the hard work and dedication of our great teachers, administrators, and support staff. Bradley County Schools is ranked among the top in Tennessee and continues to be a truly great school system.The Tennessee Department of Education has released its annual Adequate Yearly Progress Report on K-12 education, including district and school-level information on achievement and reports the status of the Bradley County School District as in Good Standing.
HAMBLEN COUNTY

WASHINGTON COUNTY

Washington County Schools of East Tennessee is comprised of 16 schools serving Pre-K through grade 12 with 9,055 students and 580 teachers. The mission of Washington County Schools is to develop students to their maximum potential by providing an education resulting in career or college readiness.
DICKSON COUNTY

The Dickson County school system is dedicated to providing the best possible education for children in Dickson County. Located 30 miles west of Nashville in Middle Tennessee, Dickson County ranks 40th in size and 31st in population. The school system of Dickson County is the 22nd largest district (of 136 total) in the State of Tennessee with approximately 8500 students enrolled.
BEDFORD COUNTY

The mission of the Bedford County Department of Education is to provide an environment that enables each student to learn and to become a good citizen.
JOHNSON CITY

The Johnson City School System has eleven schools with an enrollment of 7,700 students for the 2012-2013 school year. There are 522 certified teachers, 273 classified employees and 37 administrators employed by the school system. CUMBERLAND COUNTY

JEFFERSON COUNTY

Jefferson County's twelve schools offer quality education programs and enrichment opportunities to a diverse population of nearly 7,200 children. Our school system, including many individual teachers and programs, has strived for excellence at the local, state, and national levels long before the Federal mandate of "No Child Left Behind," and has focused on the importance of addressing the needs of every child. GREENE COUNTY

The Greene County School System provides quality educational experiences and extra-curricular activities to approximately 7,500 students enrolled in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The basic education and majority of the special education services are delivered through 11 elementary schools, one middle school, and four high schools. All of the elementary schools with the exception of two, Doak Elementary and Chuckey Elementary, enroll students in kindergarten through grade eight. Doak and Chuckey enroll students in kindergarten through grade five. All elementary schools with the exception of Glenwood have at least one pre-K classroom, and Mosheim, the largest school in the system, houses both an elementary and middle school. Additional programs located at the Thomas Howard McNeese Education Center include an alternative school, ROTC, the Early Learning Program (ELP), Bridges to Success, and B.E.S.T. The success of these programs is a direct result of the hard-work and dedication of the approximate 560 certified and 314 classified personnel employed by the system. HAWKINS COUNTY

The Hawkins County school system supports twelve elementary schools, three middle schools, three high schools, one adult education program, an alternative school, and an enrichment center; the Town of Rogersville operates its own independent school system for grades K-8. Twelve colleges and universities lie within a seventy-five-mile radius of the county.

MURFREESBORO

Murfreesboro City Schools (MCS), located in Rutherford County, TN, is a proud school district committed to the academic and personal success of each child. The educators in our twelve schools concentrate on research-based, effective instructional strategies allowing children to succeed in their education. Additionally, MCS children are given many opportunities to learn outside the classroom. Whether performing in our arts academy, learning science through horticulture or achieving success through one of our many hands-on learning camps, MCS children are excelling. Murfreesboro City Schools also boasts a strong Extended School Program (ESP). The ESP program is a year round extension of the school day offering students the opportunity to become involved in enriching activities and giving parents the convenience of safe school-based care for their child. ESP operates from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. , around the official school day, and offers affordable choices for fee based childcare.

OAK RIDGE

The story of Oak Ridge City Schools began in July, 1943, not in Oak Ridge, but in New York City when the United States Army interviewed Mr. A. H. Blankenship at Columbia College to be the first leader of Oak Ridge Schools. Today, Oak Ridge City Schools are comprised of a preschool serving 216 students (ages 3-4), four elementary schools serving 1,694 students, two middle schools serving 1,337 students, and one high school serving 1,480 students. With a support staff of 300 and a licensed staff of 427, our 727 employees work hard each day for our students. Seventy-six percent of our teachers hold a masters level degree.
